[2023/12/24 16:20] Sonja Bikergrrl: Joshua nods, pulls on a bell pull... the butler arrives quickly, and departs, to return again bearing a tray with two large ales, which he offers to Debben and Leesha.

[2023/12/24 16:21] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "How'd you come by your information about us and the... disagreeable ones after us?"
[2023/12/24 16:22] Sonja Bikergrrl: Joshua settles down into a creaking armchair. "A fair question. Quite simply, I have certain contacts with certain people... unsavory characters, mostly, who I tend to interact with. I quickly heard that two adventurers were wanted dead, and, I heard your names."
[2023/12/24 16:25] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben is suspicious but still listening. She grew up with unsavory charactors to be sure.

[2023/12/24 16:28] Sonja Bikergrrl: Joshua: "I am not -entirely- certain. You'll understand that I wasn't sure you'd come, and I didn't want to stick my neck out too far for no return. As far as I can tell, a rather unsavory death cult. You appear to have either ruined some big plan, or will ruin some big plan, I couldn't get a clear answer to that, I'm afraid."

[2023/12/24 16:33] Sonja Bikergrrl: Joshua: "There are a few, there's a number of groups who are in contact with certain dread Powers - or those who claim to be, anyway - and worship these dark Powers in return for... I don't know... power? To gain a sympathetic view? Who knows?"
[2023/12/24 16:35] Sonja Bikergrrl: Joshua goes on: "The things I am after... I suppose you could call me an art collector. I specialize in certain dark arcane items. The harmless things, I keep as a private collection of curiosities. The more harmful, I either lock away or destroy."
[2023/12/24 16:37] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Why dark arcane in particular? As opposed to a mix?"
[2023/12/24 16:39] Sonja Bikergrrl: Joshua: "Because they are interesting to me, no other reason. I could collect the various measuring rods of the primitive desert priests, but... I find the death masks of the lizard tribes to be more.... well.... interesting."
[2023/12/24 16:42] Alicia Frakture: Leesha looks at Katana and Dahlia."Not to be that half orc but...How do we know this isn't some attempt to gather dark powers?"

Two using wanted individuals is a win win. if we succeed you get an item, we don't you get a chance to collect said bounty. AS for using the items.. I got nothing. But hear me out. Unknown individual has us tracked down to do a job. we walk in here and get offered a job doing this kind of thing. we have a right to be a little paranoid. It's been nuts for us from the beginning so we are wary

[2023/12/24 16:59] Sonja Bikergrrl: Joshua: "Some may well do, and they are best destroyed - carefully! Others may be safe. Until I examine them, I cannot say."

[2023/12/24 17:06] Alicia Frakture: Leeshe tightens her hand wraps and sighs."Okay, here is my proposal. one job. if it works out we do more, if it doesn't seperate ways. No harm no foul, and by working out we decide at the end it isn't a good fit for us." She looks at the rest of the group to see what they think

[2023/12/24 17:09] Sonja Bikergrrl: Joshua: "Well... I do have one task, one of my contacts has been quiet of late. But we can talk of that later. Perhaps you have some notice from your would-be assassins I can look at for you?"
[2023/12/24 17:09] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben pulls out her notes and retrieves the collected notices. "They're in a weird language. I was only able to partially decipher them."
[2023/12/24 17:10] Sonja Bikergrrl: Joshua takes them, reads one, then the other... frowns and concentrates.
[2023/12/24 17:12] Sonja Bikergrrl: Joshua: "Hmm. It's a bounty notice alright... you have made a powerful enemy it seems... it gives your descriptions, states here: "wanted with proof of their murder, reward 100 gold pieces"... oddly it doesn't say to who, that implies one of the bigger ones... just what did you do?"

[2023/12/24 17:13] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben sighs. "I'm thinking there's been a prophecy I was ever able to get the exact words for."
[2023/12/24 17:14] Sonja Bikergrrl: Joshua passes the parchments back to Debben. "Curious. It's as if they want you dead... but are also trying to distract you."

[2023/12/24 17:23] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "I wonder what happens if they just kill us that is bad for their plan...." she wponders, while thinking back to the ghost they met, the necromancers, copius amount of undead..... "So what are they distracting us from? I was content to ignore them until they started trying to kill us."
[2023/12/24 17:24] Sonja Bikergrrl: Joshua shrugs. "Hey... I don't know! But I can try to find out."
[2023/12/24 17:24] Sonja Bikergrrl: And on that... I better call it a day.
